The Port of Nice, surrounded by 18th-century buildings in the Genoese style, is actually named Port Lympia. The architectural complex seems inspired by the Italian Renaissance and influenced by the baroque urban planning of Turin.
Mde up of a 10-hectare body of water, 7 hectares of platforms, some ten wharves and provides over 500 berths. It is located 7km from the Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and just a few minutes on foot from the main tourist sights.
The Port of Nice-Villefranche, a base for cruise ships, transit and excursions, is France's 2nd port for intercontinental cruises with more than 487.440 passengers.
The Port of Nice has 530 berths, 24 reserved for yachts over 25m long. The following services are available: mooring on floating piers, catwalks, wharfs; fuel: delivered by lorry; electricity: 220V or 380V; drinking water; telephone, cable TV; daily weather reports; showers, toilets; launching ramp, coin-operated laundry, distribution of ice.
