While drawing on the classic genres of portrait and landscape, he takes a new look at little-known regions and civilizations and manages to deliver an intimate vision. Thus in Tibet, of which Borgetto shows the serenity, the everyday and the spiritual, the persistent traditions and the approaching modernity, but where the immensity of the sky, so present in his images, seems to evoke the question of the denied territory, as a form of heavenly resistance.
Since 2007, he has traveled Tibet many times, in spring, winter and autumn, during seven trips lasting five to six weeks, during which he shared the daily life of the nomads of the high trays and monks. If these trips have always been for him a spiritual experience, they also allowed him to discover an exceptional people, today threatened in their identity.
